Magic Kingdom Theme Park

The Magic Kingdom theme park was the first theme park to open at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. It opened in 1971 and has made the hopes and dreams of every boy and girl come true ever since. From the moment you walk into the park you are transported to a different day and time when life was simple and the only purpose you had was to have fun. The Magic Kingdom will certainly take you back to your childhood.

Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom

The Magic begins when you walk down Main Street USA. This picturesque street represents the main streets that were found in small towns across America. It takes you back to a time when life was less stressful and the way of life was simple.

The smell of fresh popped popcorn and fresh baked cookies fill the air, and they immediately put you in a happier frame of mind. When you look down Main Street toward Cinderella's Castle you suddenly believe in fairy tales and that all of your dreams can indeed come true.

Our family has our favorite rides and attractions throughout the Magic Kingdom just like I am sure your family does. These are the things that we must see and do every single time we visit the park. For Example, we always ride Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. The children have highlighted a few of their favorites within each of the park sections listed below. As you link to these sections, you will recognize their comments by the kid commentary icons found below.

As I said earlier, these are the favorites of my family. Your family probably has their favorites too. I would love to hear what things you can't leave the Magic Kingdom without doing.

Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom

It is hard to think about the Magic kingdom theme park without thinking of Cinderella's Castle. It is kind of the center focal point of the entire park. It is also one of the entrance ways into Fantasyland. The walkway from Main Street USA to Fantasyland goes through the castle.

Fantasyland
is the ultimate dream playground of every little girl. From the beautiful dolls at "it's a small world" to Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, your little prince or princess will have the time of their lives.

Mickey's Toontown Fair Entrance

The younger children in your group will love Mickey's Toontown Fair. You can visit the homes of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse to see where they live! You can also meet Mickey Mouse himself at the Judge's Tent.

Entrance to Tomorrowland

If intergalactic battle and space travel are more to your liking then you'll have an absolute blast in Tomorrowland. You can zip through the Milky Way on Space Mountain then join Buzz Lightyear fight the evil emperor Zurg on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

Adventureland in Magic Kingdom Adventureland is the place to be for those of you who like a little danger in your life. Take a sail through uncharted waters with Captain Jack Sparrow on the Pirates of the Caribbean. After that, you could navigate the waterways of the Jungle Cruise or take a magic carpet ride on the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. But it really doesn't matter what adventure you choose, there will always be another one waiting for you around the next corner.

Frontierland in Magic Kingdom

If you would rather walk the streets of the old west like a cowboy then mosey on over to Frontierland. Test your gun slinging skills at the Shooting Arcade or visit Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for a taste of what life was like during the days of the gold rush.

In Liberty Square you can step back in time to the days of Colonial America; to a time when our nation only had thirteen colonies. The original colonies are represented with lanterns that hang in a gorgeous old live oak tree. There is even a liberty bell to give this area a more authentic feel. If you are in the mood for a history lesson then visit the Hall Of Presidents.
