Disney Characters

Disney Characters; Do you have a favorite? There are so many to choose from that you might think it too difficult to pick just one as your favorite. Well, I tend to agree. Most people, if you are like me, probably fell in love with their favorite Disney character at a young age when they were introduced to them through books, movies, TV and even toys. I grew up with Disney and most of you probably did too. My favorite book when I was little was call Button Soup.

This book is about Daisy Duck and her uncle. She made a surprise visit and was hungry upon arrival so she asked her uncle for something to eat. He claimed that he did not have any food but Daisy knew better. She told her uncle that she didn't need much to make a delicious soup. All she needed was a pot of water and a button. As she stirred and tasted the water she would say that it would taste better if she only had a potato, celery, etc. Eventually she had enough ingredients to make a delicious button soup.

I guess this little book is the reason why I love Daisy and Donald Duck. Disney has many lovable characters and even some characters that we love to hate so I'm sure that you can find one that you can call your favorite. Or maybe even find one that fits your personality. The two don't necessarily have to be the same.

As parents, we tend to forget what a magical experience that seeing a favorite Disney character for the first time can be for our children. I guess it is kind of like the equivalent to us seeing one of our favorite movie stars. The characters are our little one's movie stars. So be patient and let your children meet their favorite characters while visiting the theme parks. They will make memories that will last a lifetime.
