Disney Boardwalk Inn is an Epcot area resort. The back side of the resort actually overlooks a real boardwalk which is located on the shores of Cressant Lake. It is a fun and festive environment that might bring about a feeling of nostalgia if you have ever visited Coney Island or Atlantic City.
We always enjoy visiting the Disney Boardwalk Inn because it has so much to offer. The Boardwalk is lined with restaurants, shops and entertainment opportunities. The energy and excitement at the resort and the boardwalk is contagious. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy while taking a break from the parks.
We like to walk along the boardwalk at night. That way we can take in the sights of the entertainers, the sounds of the midway games and the smells that come from the food vendors. Sometimes we even like to go to the dueling piano bar. Most of the time however, we just like to sit and watch the many people that stroll by on the boardwalk. People watching is so much fun!
The Disney Boardwalk Inn is definitely one of our favorite resorts. Not only because it is exciting, and offers lots of fun things to do but also because it is located at the back door of Epcot and within walking distance to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Take your time to look at the information and the pictures that are provided and decide if you and your family would enjoy a visit to the Disney Boardwalk Inn .
Rooms at the Disney Boardwalk Inn
Most standard rooms at the Disney Boardwalk Inn have two queen beds or one king bed in 390 square feet of space. Some rooms also have a child size day bed that can accommodate a fifth person. Deluxe rooms offer a little more space to move around in and have a queen size sleeper sofa. The rooms have dark cherry furniture and are decorated in whimsical boardwalk themed bedding and curtains. Each room has a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, a small table with two chairs, armoire with TV and plenty of drawers to store your clothes.
Bathrooms are separated into two areas. The tub/shower and toilet are closed off from the marble topped vanity and double sink area. This separated area is convenient if you have teenagers like we do. It allows one person to shower while another person gets ready. You will not need to pack a makeup mirror or a hair dryer because Disney has provided these for your use.
Other categories of rooms include a variety of different sized suites. The two story garden suites have private gardens which are enclosed by white picket fences. Guests can exit their garden through a personal gate that extends out into an inner courtyard. The enclosed gardens and inner courtyards are quiet and provide a great place to sit down for a while to relax. The area is absolutely charming.
The Inn also has 65 Concierge level rooms. Staying in one of these rooms gives guests access to a private lounge area called the Innkeeper's Club. This lounge is on the 4th floor and it has a very night view of Illuminations, Epcot's nightly fireworks show. Another perk of staying in a concierge level room is that quests can enjoy complimentary food and beverages throughout the day and evening including a complimentary breakfast. Other amenities include the services of the concierge staff, private check-in and check-out, bathrobes and a nightly turn down service.
