La Cantina De San Angel in the Mexican Pavilion at Epcot is my favorite Counter service at Epcot. Why? Well, there actually could be two reasons for my choice. It might be because the Mexico Pavilion is usually the first country we visit in the world showcase after leaving the Future World section of the park and it is usually lunch time when we are there.
Or it might be that the Cantina has something on their
menu to please everyone in my family. There is no arguing or complaining about what to eat because everyone likes something on the menu. The food offered is the traditional Mexican fast food that we are used to in the United States like nachos, tacos and burritos - plus churros, flan and frozen margaritas.
It is a safe bet for us because when the kids are happy then Momma is happy.
La Cantina has the added benefit of having a shaded outdoor seating area that is lagoon-front. You can take a break from the walking around and from the crowds but still do a little people watching at the same time. The only negative to the outdoor seating is the birds. So many people have fed these animals that they are aggressive and some will even land on your table and peck for food.
I have heard that this Cantina is currently undergoing some construction and menu changes. I hope that these changes will not be disappointing to those of us who liked it the way it has been for years.
